- August 11, 2011 Enthusiasts - Volleyball courts on Sylvan Lake's pier were busy last week as Alberta Volleyball Association hosted the 13th annual Sylvan Lake volleyball camp for youngsters aged 13 to 18. It's described as an intensive six day volleyball experience emphasizing basic skills and fitness which is suitable for all levels of athletes. The camp was limited to the first 125 participants and the wait list was longer than last year, said Derek Hemsley, program director with Alberta Volleyball Association. The camp ran from Sunday to Friday. The youngsters were housed at the Fox Run-Mother Teresa multi-campus facility
