- Cover Illustration: During the real estate boom immediately prior to World War One, Edmonton saw many new building constructed in the downtown area. This is a view along 99th Street as seen from the MacDonald Hotel. The new McLeod Building is under construction across from the Post Office. The street is intersected in the foreground by Jasper Avenue.
