- Cover Illustration: Summer was the time for city dwellers to experience the pleasures of the outdoors. One of the popular summer activities in Edmonton was for a company to charter an excursion train to travel to one of the nearby lakes. In this 1914 photograph, the staff of Esdale Printing Co. pose with a calf roasting over a barbeque pit.
