- To commemorate this special occasion, the Town of Sylvan Lake, the Sylvan Lake Marina and the Sylvan Lake Regional Sailing Club have joined together to construct a lighthouse.
- This lighthouse, located at the waterway entrance of the Marina, is the only inland lighthouse between the West Coast and the Great Lakes. This structure towering 50 feet above the lake's surface will provide a guiding light for sailors and be a welcoming beacon for all visitors.
- We would be honored if you would join us in the opening ceremonies of our Lighthouse. This event takes place Sunday, August 7th, 1988 at 1:00 p.m.
