- 1984: The Sylvan Lake trade dollar was minted for 1913 Days. 5,000 coins were produced for the Coin Committee headed by Al Gamble. The intent was to have businesses purchase the coins and use them as change. Coins had a local value of $2.00 for the period June 8 - September 5 with the revenue generated for staging 1913 Days and a profit for business men who stock the special coin. One the main face is the Mermaid and on the flip sidea famous local sailing ship the Silver Dolphin 1985: The second year of the silver coins depicts a bathtub race. In 1985 the tub race was in its fifth year. Each successive coin is to until the 75th anniversay in 1988 was to feature water-related events.
